She holds two bachelor’s degrees from the University of Alaska system and earned a master’s degree from Northern Arizona University in 2011. She has also completed her post-master’s family nurse practitioner from NAU and will be receiving her doctorate from Frontier Nursing University, the oldest program in the country.

She is triple board certified in flight, emergency and critical care and completed her high-risk obstetrics fellowship at Maricopa County Medical Center.

She’s spent eight years flying as a maternal team leader with the Arizona Perinatal Trust and has more than 20-years’ experience in air medical transport, flying in helicopters from the bottom of the Grand Canyon to the edge of the Arctic Ocean.

For the past two years, she has worked in primary care here in Phoenix, focusing on weight management and metabolic health.

She firmly believes in a holistic approach to clinical practice where patients are at the center of care. No blaming nor shaming—just kindness and understanding.

“This journey is not easy. I know because I have been there. I’ve lost more than 100 pounds since my highest weight—and more importantly, I have kept it off for over five years. Several years ago, I struggled to complete a 5k. I now am an endurance athlete who runs ultramarathons and just finished my first rim-to-rim this summer. I am a busy mom who travels a lot, but I still can keep to a nutritional plan on the road.”
